Why do rates differ from jewellers?
Jewellery prices include making charges, gst where applicable, and brand premiums. Our rates reflect indicative metal value based on international spot gold.
What is 22 Karat gold?
22K gold is 91.6% pure. 24K is 99.9% pure (coins/bars). Many international markets also emphasise 18K and 14K for jewellery.
How are Sydney rates calculated?
We combine COMEX gold (USD/oz) with the USD/AUD exchange rate, convert to per-gram, apply karat purity, a Australia retail premium, and a small local city adjustment.
How often are rates updated?
Rates refresh about every 30 minutes. Historical data uses daily COMEX closes and reference forex rates.
